Vote for the Better Collaborative Education Team on November 4

We - Lauren Moyle, Joseph Braxton, and Craig Coughlin, Jr. - are thrilled to announce our campaign for Cranford Board of Education and ask for your support on Election Day, November 4, 2025. We look forward to making Cranford’s schools even better while being responsive and responsible to residents.

To begin with, we selected the slogan Better Collaborative Education because it captures our approach to community leadership. We recognize the good that has been accomplished by the community leaders who have long supported Cranford’s schools and look forward to contributing to making our schools even better. And we are convinced that educational improvement comes only through collaboration, between teachers and students; teachers and parents; and schools and their community. As the single biggest tax-funded budget in Cranford, we must collaborate to do better and deliver on our mission to educate & empower our children.

Take a look at our vision for the Cranford Public Schools and our bios from the menu at the top. We look forward to hearing from you on ways you think we can make Cranford schools even better.

“Most importantly, children have always been at the center of my work—professionally as a teacher and principal, and personally as a mom here in Cranford. I want to bring my experience home to strengthen and sustain our public schools, because when our schools thrive, our children—and our community—thrive.

“This town moves forward through friendship, service, and a shared belief that progress is possible because better is coming.

I’m running to give back through that same spirit of service. A hundred years from now, Cranford will still be thriving—because of the work we do today to support our children and our educators. Serving on the Board of Education is how I hope to acknowledge the past, strengthen the present, and invest in the future of this remarkable community.

“As a proud public school product, I truly believe the value of public education is unmatched. That is why I’m committed to the future success of our public schools. That being said our public institutions as we have seen over the last few years require constant care. We cannot take for granted that our children will have the same experience we had going to school if we don’t put in the work to make that happen.
